Alkesh Virji has been appointed by Rupa and I to join our Board of Trustees.
With his professional experience, Alkesh is someone who is able to think fast and act rationally. He is not afraid to ask questions and challenge the status-quo. He is hands-on and always willing to get his hands dirty when required and where he can offer value.
Alkesh’s professional experiences span 25 years plus as a Project Manager in the IT field. He has extensive stakeholder management capabilities, an eye for details and able to work with people at all levels, junior and senior. He have operated in self-employment and employed so sat on both sides of the fence and has a very appreciation for finances, people and processes.
Alkesh has very good relations with many families in Vanza Mandal, including the committee members and he looks forward to expanding associations through the role of Trustee.

On behalf of the Vanza Mandal Management Committee and Trustees, we are pleased to invite you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Date: Sunday, 23rd March 2025
Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Swaminarayan Sports Hall, Blake Hall Road, London, E11 2QW
This year, we will be electing a Treasurer and new Committee Members. Currently, the Treasurer role is being filled on an acting basis. If you, or someone you know, has the skills and passion to make a difference, we encourage you to attend and consider applying. We are also looking for additional Committee Members to join our fantastic team.
As a Committee Member, you will be expected to attend one meeting per month and assist with events we organise. Ad-hoc duties may arise depending on the events we host. If you would like to learn more about these roles or get involved with our community, please come along or get in touch. Volunteering with Vanza Mandal offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and impactful team.

Please note, a quorum of at least 25 paid members is required to commence the meeting. If you have any questions you would like to raise at the meeting, please send them to info@vanzamandal.com at least 14 days prior to the meeting.
Any additional questions raised during the meeting will be addressed under item 7, time permitting.
In the event that the AGM on 23rd March 2025 cannot proceed due to a lack of quorum, the adjourned meeting will take place 20 minutes after the scheduled adjournment.

I am delighted to announce the appointment of 2 additional Trustees to join Bhartiben Makwana.
Mahendrabhai Maganlal Mandalia and Gitesh Samji have come onboard to steer Vanza Mandal in the right direction.
Mahendrabhai is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He has lived in East Ham for over 50 years before moving to Beaconsfield. He has had previous involvement with Vanza Mandal and our community through the cricket club. He was also involved in putting the original Vanza Mandal constitution together.

Gitesh is a lifelong member and supporter for Vanza Mandal. He has witnessed the Mandal's growth and the positive impact on our community. Gitesh would like to contribute further by helping to ensure our continued success. With experience in public facing roles including management, Gitesh is confident in his ability to effectively communicate, build relationships and interact positively with others. He is eager to make a difference, learn new things and contribute to meaningful causes that benefit our community.
So please join me and the Management Committee in welcoming Mahendrabhai and Gitesh onboard.

Vanza Mandal Trustee Update
In our last communication, we were looking for new Trustees for Vanza Mandal.
The application process was open until 28th February 2025.
However, due to recent resignations from Pradipbhai Solanki and Vinodbhai Bhundia, we have had to appoint 2 new Trustees straight away in order for Vanza Mandal still to continue as a charity. Of course, the application process is still open as we are still looking for additional Trustees.
Therefore, if you are looking to join Vanza Mandal as a Trustee, please do send your Expression Of Interest in to info@vanzamandal.com by 28th February 2025.
